The Beginning · El Principio
From townhouse to guesthouse.
Calle Príncipe 10 was built in the late 1850s as a private residence, one of many Andalusian townhouses in Marbella's old quarter. White walls, iron balconies, rooms arranged around a central courtyard. It has stood through 167 years of quiet change.
In recent years, the house was reimagined as a guesthouse. The structure remained: the courtyard, the narrow staircases, the thickness of the walls. What changed was the purpose. Rooms that once belonged to a single family now welcome travellers, each named after a city from the East.
La Villa Marbella is not large. It does not try to be. It is an old-town house kept the way it was found, and the way it ought to stay: intimate, specific, rooted in this street.

Things are not from the same place
Asian-fusion decor in an Andalusian townhouse. Greek-shower bathrooms. Bougainvillea on a wrought-iron balcony. The mix is deliberate. We do not pretend this house is one thing.

Intimacy is not a marketing term
Small means we know who is staying. It means breakfast is served at the time you asked for. It means the person who checked you in remembers your room number without looking.

The old town is the point
Location is not an amenity. It is the reason to be here. Three minutes to the Plaza de los Naranjos, eight to the beach, surrounded by tapas bars older than most hotels. This is Marbella before the marina.

Originally from Brazil, Marcos has run La Villa for over twenty years. He knows every guest by name and every restaurant worth booking.

Your first point of contact at check-in. Isabela handles everything from airport transfers to last-minute dinner reservations.
Juan Luis Mena
Reception
Born and raised in Marbella. If you need a local tip, a taxi, or directions through the Old Town, Juan Luis is your person.
Benjamin
Reception
Canadian, and usually the first welcome you get at the door. Ask Benjamin anything about Marbella: where to eat, what to skip, which street to wander. You will get a real answer.
Bolivar Santamaria
Reception
From Panama, and rarely without a recommendation. Bolivar looks after welcomes and introductions: personable, unhurried, and full of Marbella know-how.
